number 5 with a bullet

the other day as i was watching the oscars i got a call from a friend who i haven't spoken with in over a year. we dated in high school and to this day she has still always intrigued me. and now she is married. weird...

needless to say, i have been having some high fidelity moments, reevaluating my life as of late. you see, one of my all time, desert island top three movies is chasing amy, and it's weird how the relationship described in that movie parallels our relationship, not the least of these parallels being the name (amy). also the "stupid guy bullshit". i later found out my assumptions were even less founded than bob's, and i was just being young and stupid with an over active imagination. but to this day we still remain really good friends, albeit friends who only see each other once a year or so.

so what does a guy who just found out one of his high school exs (whom he may or may not have still carried a small torch for) just got married do? makes her buckeyes to send in a care package...

(oh and she asked for the buckeyes. this isn't me trying to sabotage anything).
