Bangkok Floating Market

Took a longtail boat ride up the river and round the residential canals of Bangkok this morning to this floating market, which was really a floating restaurant with al manner of fish and meat being barbecued on these small boats for happy locals to eat on low tables.

Then to Chatuchak Market by Skytrain this afternoon - 6000 stalls selling just about everything under the sun, or actually a stormy sky. Managed to be back on the train by the time the torrential downpour occurred. Fly on to New Zealand tomorrow; will be in Auckland by Monday afternoon local time. Sorry not to have replied to all the comments I've been getting: time and internet access limited. Will do better once in NZ!
