Finnish barista championships 2012

Today I went to follow the finals of Finnish barista championships that were held this afternoon in the 3rd floor of Shopping center Kluuvi in Helsinki.
In the foto you can see the winner of the Finnish championship in action, Joona Suominen from Cafe Art, Turku will represent Finland in the barista worldchampionships later this year in Wien.

For those of you who are not familiar with the word barista, it's originally italian word and means master of bar and espresso.

In the competition the international judges reviewed both the taste of the coffee and the technical skills of the competitors. (To Finnish championships finals had been selected through semifinals six best baristas who competed against each other)
