Letter

Went for a Saturday afternoon wander round some charity shops, and came across this letter in an old desk. Dated 26th June 1969, it's from the Children's Department of the City and County of Norwich, to Miss M Smith, 6 Inchcolm Terrace, South Queensferry, West Lothian.

Dear Miss Smith
I am pleased to offer you the post of Child Care Officer in the department as from September 22nd 1969, at a rate of £935 per annum. This appointment is subject to satisfactory X-ray. I would be glad if you could let me know if you wish to accept the appointment.
With regard to the X-ray, could you ask that the result be sent to Dr J R Murdock, Medical Officer of Health, 68 St Giles Street, Norwich.
