Crathorne Fountain

Mr K and I were off on our hols today. Child free for the first time since July, yay!!!!!
We dropped the Little Misses off at school and then carried on up to Crathorne Hall in North Yorkshire. It was so so so so so nice to have peace in the car, listen to the radio not Roald Dahl stories (which I do enjoy but which can get a bit tedious when listened to over and over and over and over......) to be able to jump out at services for coffee and it not take hours to get everyone out, to the toilet, away from the cheap huge soft toys, to the coffee shop, back into the car. Not to be asked every five minutes if we're nearly there yet!!!! Bliss.
We made good time which unfortunately gave Mr K time to run amok in the Austin Reed Outlet shop in Thirsk was good. And we had a lovely meeting with our wedding photographer Chiyo McMillan and I feel very happy that she's going to give us the sort of shots we want. I love her style and think her portraits are amazing.
Then we lounged about a bit drinking tea and soaking up the posh hotelness before dressing up for dinner - a real novelty and treat!
There were lots of couples and their families tasting the wedding menus and choosing their final dishes. And drinking copious amounts of champagne and wine!! It was lovely. Mr K and I were very full, tipsy and tired by the end of the evening!
I love Crathorne - can't wait to come back and get married!!!
