Snow arrives (as forecast) #uksnow

Another very cold but bright morning. We unpacked more boxes from the storage unit but didn't do much else. Helped son number one fill in an application form by giving advice over the 'phone. Hope his plans for next year work out OK.

The weather forecasters have been telling us that we'd get snow today and they were proved right by about 6 pm. We don't tend to get much snow in the Thames Valley so it is still a bit of a novelty.

At about 9 pm we went out for a walk around our neighbourhood to take in the snow. It was very quiet with little traffic and the cars that were around were going quite slowly (apart from the one we saw crash into the kerb and destroy an alloy wheel as it went too way fast round a corner). It is coming down quite fast now and there's about 5 cm settled on the ground.

I expect there are blippers all over the place sneaking out for snow shots.....
