Lord of the Piston Rings

So I'm driving home this late afternoon and an SUV tears past me. OUt of the corner of my eye, I catch the licence plate, a vanity plate (vanity is a Canadian word meaning $275.) It says, "Fordo"

I think myself, "Isn't that clever? Some person has a Ford and is a fan of Lord of the Rings, so combined that into a pretty amusing vanity plate "Fordo."

I was still smiling to myself when I caught up to the vehicle at the next traffic light. That was when I realized the the "Fordo" was a Chev. Reinforced my opinion that the owners of vanity plates can occasionally show serious lapses....
