OOOPS!
Obviously we are all aware that practice drills on a ferry are important , but as long as there's no threat to safety ...... a smile!
The captain announced a practice drill for the ferry's fast rescue boat. It was lowered from the side and roared off in a showing-off kinda way. Seconds later, grey smoke appeared, belched a bit darker, surrounded the wee rib, and the craft was stranded.
The Ferry (which was overheard to mutter "For goodness sake!" in a suppressed huff from its funnels) did a big 50-point turn and picked them up. Was it wicked of passengers to giggle when they spied one of the crew on the rescue boat with a paddle in his hand?
Seriously, though ... important job and we recognise it.
