Winter comes to Carr Vale

The snow soon stopped after submitting yesterday's blip - about 2.5 inches. By 11 am the snow was rapidly clearing from the trees so I was glad to have been out before then. I did the usual walk around the reserves and collected a decent choice of shots. However I decided to blip a photo of some of the houses at the edge of Carr Vale here in Bolsover to contrast with the snow.

We decided not to venture across to the usual church service in Bakewell this morning. It is rare for us to miss, and it always feels strange to fail to meet with others to remember the Lord in His death and resurrection. It is something we seek to mark weekly and realise it should impact our lives on a day to day basis.
