Freeze-thaw

After the ice-rain of yesterday, we chose Delamere Forest for a walk, the theory being that the paths there should not be frozen.
How wrong we were! Sheet ice in places, and plenty more coating logs, branches, leaves, stones. We slithered and crunched our way along, me very gingerly and only managed a paltry 7000 steps. But it was good to get out and even better to get back without mishap to tea and crumpets.
