I love walking round Edinburgh and spotting small remnants of the past, like this sign for R. Dolan, Chimney Sweeper on Barclay Place.

Whenever I do spot these things I always wonder about the history behind them; a couple of minutes searching on the internet found this article from The Glasgow Herald (31 October 1929).

A fairly quiet day for me, although I did go and watch 'Carnage', a film adaptation of a stage play which shows middle class civility deteriorating into, well, carnage.
