Ardverikie Gatehouse

Not far from the head of Loch Laggan is the entrance to Ardverikie House with this Gatehouse guarding the entrance and bridge over the river Pattack. Ardverikie may be better known to some of you who watch Television and more particularly the program Monarch of the Glem.

Ardverikie for the program was known better as Glen Bogle which is built on the shore of Loch Laggan. I, like many motorists use the A86 as a cut through between the A82, which takes one south through Fort William and Glen coe, and the A9 main Inverness to Perth road.
