Slush

When it snows I often think how lovley it would be to live in the country. Unspolit whiteness lasting for days on end...

We had snow last night, which as it's so infrequent in London is quite exciting. Still there this morning.. for a while at least...

About 11.30 a really grumpy looking bunch of 'yoots' in high vis jackets bearing the uncool logo that is 'Community Payback' turned up and cleared the pavements. I know that clearing the snow is a good thing so that old folk don't break their hips, but we now have piles of grey slush and dog muck to look out on - nice.

Then to add insult to injury, two hours later a bloke in a grit lotty parked in the street. Having nothing to grit he looked serioulsy non-plussed, got on his mobile for a rant at his manager/wife/mate "Would you F***in' believe it?" then drove off.
The Council need to sort it out I would suggest.
