Bring It Big Blue!

Everyone in the USA knows what day it is! Super Bowl Sunday XLVI (46)

Today is the much awaited rematch of the NY/NJ Giants and the New England Patriots football teams. What makes this game so exciting is that the Giants played the Patriots in the Super Bowl four years ago and miraculously won 17-14. A once-in-a- lifetime experience! XLII was amazing; the plays were unexpected but absolutely classic. I think I screamed myself hoarse watching that game.

This time around, Mike, who played quarterback and is an obvious Giants fan, is as ready for a skirmish as anyone can be - he wore his #44 Ahmad Bradshaw jersey to church this morning and afterwards ordered the Big Blue Bagel at our neighborhood bagel shop. Things are looking good!

Since Super Bowl Sunday is a tradition in my house; we have hot wings and pizza on the menu and there'll be lots of yelling and screaming and jumping around. Like millions of others across the country, our adrenaline will be pumping and our hearts will be racing. So bring it Blue! Twice-in-a-lifetime is twice as nice!

Birding fans, I awaited the blue jay but he just didn't make it to the first down. :(
