Slippery Slope

With the recent snows I've been out on the ski mountaineering gear today. I bought it last year, and had a hard time of it in heavy, deep Cairngorm snow. Today in fresh shallower snow I did at least stay upright most of the time, but still can't turn very well. (These curving tracks are heading back up).

Overall I'm happier, but there's still a long way to go, and this year the snows aren't sticking around like the last two.
