Bird's nest soup?

We came home last night to quite a mess. Friday night had been an exceptionally cold and windy night on the coast and up on our mountain trees had been brought down, neighbour's roof tiles blown off and the road was full of debris from the oak and pines trees.

On the terrace was this little nest, blown out from one of the trees - must be from last year. My 'designer' woven bird box blipped last month was history - I hadn't secured it properly it must now be somewhere down in the golf valley!

Had an 8am video conf call with a client in Oz, so that was a intense start to the week - but just been out sweeping the terraces and it's a glorious day, so must be thankful we had no damage to our house.
