I like this one, a tiny bit too sharp at the edge... But I'm impressed overall...

TECHY BIT

This is a composite of 2 images, camera set up on tripod at 200mm with 4x Digital Zoom on, turned on 1 step bracketing (1 low exposure, 1 normal & 1 high exposure shot with one button press)

Got the three loaded into photoshop, actually abandoned the "normal" exposure shot, used the low exposure and play with curves/levels to really make the shadows & detail show through. Was tempted to blip at this point as it looked like a proper little alien planet.

Overlaid the brighter shot, pushed the brightness up a tad and set it to around 30% opacity (Using the FILL slider instead of the normal opacity one (To allow the background to show through without messing the image up too much)

Finished with a touch of noise reduction on the darker (background plate) image just to clean it up a little.
