Winter flood plains

General shot of the Dyke near us, the orange bits are for the Company that is to begin improving the Dyke when the weather improves. Going to need thousands ( Really) of heavy lorries to transport the building materials through our village. Everone wants the Dyke improved, nobody wants the lorries near their houses!
The materials could come most of the way by river, but that would mean re opening a long defunct harbour, some buildings of which are now occupied by a rare species of Bats, so they must not be disturbed and the materials will come by road doing who knows what damage to the local enviroment.
Also this view will cease to exist, being replaced by a paved road, shame.
