Roots

I've mostly for good reasons been wondering what grounds us this weekend. I've had cause to wonder about how my own kids are grounded and rooted. And again for myself, as I continue to grow as to what grounds me and where my roots really are, and if it's possible or necessary to transplant those roots to more fertile ground.

Anyway this rather indulgent, existential pondering found me with 15mins with the trees at lunchtime. I loved this grand arboreal gathering and thought their roots looked splendid, but knew that it was the deeper roots that counted.
