In the Fog

A luxurious day off work. Diligent morning at the desk was followed by a cycle along the canal to Kirkintilloch in freezing fog. I should have left my glasses at home, as they instantly steamed up as I left the city streets. After recent rain the tow-path was very muddy and it was impossible to pedal fast enough to keep warm.

But what an eerie landscape. And soundscape too as the fog changes the acoustic, and your sense of distance and direction becomes distorted. This was taken on the edge of Possil Loch, more a marsh, and a nature reserve.
