Life is a Journey

Pebbles

I love the pattern that the pebbles make in the wet sand. In fact I think it makes a more interesting picture than if there was just sand - perfectly smooth and unspoilt. The pebbles - all different shapes and sizes - form a pattern that makes the picture unique, dynamic and captivating.

I think that bumps and obstacles are important in life in order to make us more interesting and dynamic. Our struggles give us character, they mean that life isn't perfect. But imperfection is beautiful.

Paul told us to rejoice in (not 'because of') our suffering because "suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope." [Romans 5:3-4]
