Princely Peacock
I went to Camperdown Park thinking that I would photograph the tall monkey puzzle which I have admired since childhood. The last time my sister stayed with us, I made her join me in hugging the huge trunk for old times' sake. She wasn't enthusiastic to do so, even though we are both fond of trees. There are said to be 190 species within the grounds of the park. Some examples are magnificent, especially the beeches.
I took a look around the Wildlife Centre while I was there. I spent some time watching four otters playing in the sunshine. The peacock was basking on top of the enclosure. Sheenagh later advised me to choose this picture as I can always go back and blip the tree another time.
This is Day 4 in hospital for GP. She is looking more fed up by the visit. She ranted on about reading a newspaper article that suggested prisoners are provided with any electronic device they wish for, yet the inmates of her ward don't get so much as a radio, let alone a television or a computer. I agreed that she had a point. She perked up as I emptied out a bag of goodies from 'outside'. However, it's a wheelchair, not a nail file she needs to escape from this institution!
I never thought I'd be at this stage, but are doctors getting younger? There are a few dishy ones at Ninewells let me tell thee - and they've not gone unnoticed by GP who has been watching them with interest.
