Moon halo

One or two pictures of the moon on Blip tonight I have noticed but I thought I would try to catch the moon halo that surrounded it after being tipped off by Anth who spotted one the other night. Bit hard to do while keeping a bit of detail in the moon but hopefully you can see it. The halo is formed by ice crystals.

Whilst looking it up I discovered that you can also get such a thing as a moonbow which works exactly the same way as a rainbow except it is lit by the moons light instead of the suns. They are often too weak to see all the colours but I would love to see one!
