"By the light..."

This was tough! It was freezing, and blowing, as we say, a "hoolie".

I was just on my way home from a long day's work, and as I went to pass over the canal bridge I saw this! I had to use the railings as a makeshift tripod, and with the wind buffeting and my fingers going numb, I decided to call it a day after a couple of shots.
But I'm so glad I made the effort. It might not be exactly the best shot, but it's my shot, taken in difficult conditions, and with a very rumbly tummy.

Still, it's amazing how much pleasure you get out of doing something different, instead of regretting trying.

I'm now warm, well fed and loved. And I ain't going out again tonight!
