Bedtime reading

Tired, little opportunity and a complete desertion of imagination -nearly didn't get a blip at all today. Only when starting to get ready for bed got the idea for my pile of bedtime reading. Lots of goodies here -some for dipping into and some for ploughing on with!

They do provide some precious moments. Last night I opened the poetry volume and discovered this beautiful poem (Wild Geese by Mary Oliver) The first lines are:

You do not have to be good
You do not have to walk on your knees
for a hundred miles through the desert, repenting.
You only have to let the soft animal of you body
love what it loves.

What comfort!
