Unexpected!
I made a special trip out today, just to go and find a blip. My target was the buzzard that was flying along the road that i was on, but the moment i stopped to point the camera out of the window, it found an overdrive gear and in an instant was about half a mile from the road and soaring at about 2000 feet!!!!!
So, whilst standing there with fully extended 100-400 lens, a car drove by, and not wanting to look really desperate by pointing at the very small dot in the sky, i used a little lateral thinking to glimpse at what was around me, and noticed these insulators on the electric pole next to where i was parked, so got busy firing off a couple of shots.
When i looked at the pics on the computer, this one really jumped out, with the green glass really standing out against the blue sky. I also really liked the shape of these insulators, which i would probably have seen a million times, yet never really looked at.
A good reminder to take a little more time to look rather than simply see!!
