Out with the Old

We'd ripped out the old venetian blinds in the weekend. They were piled up on the deck, folded back and fanning out like discarded gunsen from a neopunk comic book.

Being aluminium it's off to the recycling they go, to be replaced by new curtains that have yet to be chosen despite our best efforts.

(Gunsen were metal fans carried by Samurai and used as inconspicuous weapons. And to keep you nice and cool; just had to make sure they didn't flutter too close to your throat)
