Hotel de Lamoignon

I got to the library early this morning so had to wait a bit in the courtyard of the Hotel de Lamoignon for the doors to open. As you can see, we had another dusting of snow last night.

Ch had a field trip this morning with her class to visit Notre-Dame-des-Victoires church. She was cold and not too impressed when I first picked her up but over lunch she told me all about what they'd seen and heard... lots of relics and stories of miracles, it seems.

Th got a message ten minutes before leaving for her first class that it had been cancelled, so she was still here when we got back for lunch. Something about a burst pipe at the facility where they were supposed to play badmindton for gym. Needless to say, she was very pleased and had fixed herself a nice lunch of pasta with pesto sauce.

Speaking of pipes, I have coordinated all the parties involved (concierge to give us access to the basement, chauffagiste to turn off the hot water, plumber to do the repair) and I fully expect our pipe to be fixed tomorrow morning!
