Tails of the Riverbank
Another day off for good behaviour and, mindful of the freezing temperatures outside ( ... our thermometer recorded an overnight minimum of -17.4 degrees C!), the Shopping Sherpa and I donned our layers and, like Michelin people, ventured forth to the river for our nature ramble. By family tradition, however, our first stop was, of course, the waterside cafe for a hot meal ( ... this refers to both us, in the residual under-layers that modesty dictated we should not rip off in public, and the excellent food!).
Suitably fortified, we headed off into the cold murky day in search of that bright blip but, despite enjoying a lovely bracing walk, struggled to find anything worth recording (or at least sharing) ... and so we press-ganged these ducks into their starring role!
So, there you have it! Nothing to do with Hammy the Hamster and friends from a similar sounding children's TV series of the 1960's .... just some ducks ... with tails and a river!
