Liqourice allsort wood

Making a tiller extension, the main tiller is underneath, the extension is clamped to the top to mimic the curvature. The extension is made from 5 layers of wood, three light two dark, glued together. After the glue has set it will be planed to size, rounded off and shaped to become an extension tiller to allow the boat to be steered easily when sitting on the side-decks.
