Tip Top Tap

As a little kid, I loved the Allerton Hotel. I am no longer a little kid and I still love the Allerton. Who would have thought that I would one day work a block and a half away, still enjoying its wonderful sign whenever I pass a window.

The Tip Top Tap cocktail lounge is long gone, but every time I see the Allerton, I wish I could have spent an evening there. Just thinking about the name makes me feel almost like I was a part of that time.
