It isn't the best photograph ever, but after ten days of snow, ten days of not seeing anything but a low woolly sky in monotone grey that blends into the hills with only spiky, bent and bowing trees, crushed under the weight of it all to break it up; after ten days of nothing at all but big snowflakes, the sight of a feeble ray of sunshine reflected in one of the three-foot long icicles hanging outside my window, well...it made me want to dance.
