Tell Him to Stop

The most popular room at the Hockney show was the large screen movie of country views, a blessed relief from endless ghastly paintings filling acres of valuable wall space at the Royal Academy. There were only two good rooms: 1) his early work and 2) a room full of very trippy treescapes. My companion said of Hockney "Someone should just tell him to stop!" My Italian friend asked "Is there something wrong with his eyes?"
I shall not be renewing my subscription following previous dud shows such as the British Sculpture fiasco, the infuriating Anish Kapoor and the soporific Degas.
