The morning after!

Well! Yesterday was our 35th wedding anniversary and my birthday!

I had the best day - Mr DV bought me a new camera (see yesterday's backblip), I was spoiled with the most incredible presents - all surprises! Our son appeared in our room at about 7.30 (unheard of!) with presents. The rest of the family arrived at about 9.30 and Harry helped me open even more presents and then we set off on a mystery tour .... we ended up in the middle of The New Forest which is about an hour's drive away, at a beautiful place called Exbury Gardens.

V had prepared a delicious picnic including a birthday cake and we went on the steam railway and wandered around the grounds. Then we visited a cider farm and had to have a tasting session.

Driving home we suddenly turned into a local pub which had been recommended to us - right on the riverbank (the River Test), and we had a lovely meal sitting at a table with a birthday balloon, banners and sparkles on the table!

That is my idea of a perfect day.

Sorry I have neglected my blipping duties lately, we have been away and so many things have been going on, I will try to be a better blipper in the future! I haven't forgotten any of you though and hope you are all OK.
