Walking in Kilts...

Slightly different today but still connected (loosely) with my work.

My wife and I will be walking a 26 mile route from Hampden Park to Loch lomond in April in aid of "The Kiltwalk" a Scottish charity that raises money to help and support disadvantaged children around Scotland.

It occurred to me that it may be wise to train for this, a little anyway lol, but what to do when my rig has no gym or walking space? So I decided I would go running around our helicopter landing deck just to get these old(ish) legs in shape.

The shoes were a cheap pair I got from the company (for free) a few years back while the rig was working in Nigeria and they had been lying in my locker like the bells that never rang. Anyway at least they are now getting used for their true purpose, and I am managing 6 or 7 km every second or third night. So fingers crossed.

To answer the burning question. Yes, we will be walking the 26 miles wearing kilts.

The Kiltwalk has a Blipfoto page so feel free to have a look around. There is a picture of my rigs helicopter landing deck on there also and if you feel like joining us in April, then please do :-)
(Kilts are not mandatory so don't let that put you off ha ha).
