Mt. Maunganui

It's a bank holiday here today - to do with the signing of the Waitangi treaty - between the M?ori's and Queen Victoria - so lots going on including a surfing competition- lots of youngsters doing their thing . We played golf at Omokoroa with a nice couple from Canada who comes here for 3 months every year - we both played well in warm sunshine - sorry - we hear you have snow! In the evening we strolled along the surfer's beach and found a smashing restaurant and ate a delicious beachcomber's platter - a really good day.
