Meet some of the Robin House Kiltwalk Team

The Kiltwalk is about having fun with your family and friends as you take on the 26 mile challenge from Hampden Park to Loch Lomond, however while we have a great time taking part, The Kiltwalk does have a purpose in life and that's to raise as much money as possible for our Partner Charities which are CHAS, TACC, Aberlour & CLIC Sargent.

Today we would like you to meet some of the families and staff from CHAS who are taking part in The Kiltwalk. So pictured from left to right are Jennifer Hendry, Andy Sandlan, Seoras Speirs, Gary Speirs, Kenneth Lawrie, Janet O'Connor and (front) Cora Speirs. Don't they all look marvelous?

Robin House Child and Family Support Worker Janet O'Connor said: "CHAS , is one of four charities benefitting from the event and all the money raised will support children and young people with life-shortening conditions across Scotland. We had decided to meet up and talk about our plans for the day and we couldn't resist comparing training notes for the event which is only 8 weeks away."

When asked what one message she would like to give our Blipfoto viewers Janet said "The Kiltwalk is such a great event and makes a significant contribution to our fund raising at CHAS, so we'd love to see more people sign up and join us for the day; it's really great fun. However if you can't take part, then please sponsor someone who is".

The Kiltwalk, which takes place on Sunday 8th April, is a 26 mile sponsored walk leaving from the pitch at Hampden Park, to the town of Balloch on the shores of Loch Lomond, where Robin House Children's Hospice is based.
