The Sneinton Dragon
The Sneinton Dragon is a magnificent piece of stainless steel sculpture, made by a local Sneintonian, Robert Stubley. It has a wingspan of 15 feet and, in spring and summer, is half-hidden among trees of blossom. In winter, he is an altogether more fearsome beast. He has been there since 2006 and, somehow, he escapes vandalism although the ravages of time are beginning to wear him down a bit.
He is just a few minutes walk from where I live and, periodically, I just have to go and take a few more photographs of him. I love him to bits and am secretly convinced that his name is Roland, but only he and I know that (and now you ....)
