Neptune is getting very paunchy!

This lead covered statue is beginning to decay and Neptune (God of the Sea) is slowly getting shorter in both body and legs. It was produced by Jospeh Rendall, founder, Bristol, in 1723 and was erected on the site of the old reservoir of Temple. It then had 3 moves and was finally erected in its present position in the Centre in 1949.

I can't think why yesterday's blip was so dark so I have changed it for the original - sorry
