It has rained incessantly all day today. The brook fills up quickly but never seems to break it's banks.

When I was a child we used to balance across these pipes starting with the middle one, before tackling the nearest and, finally, the furthest.

Recently, a H&S notice has been put up on the fence that runs alongside saying that there is a danger of drowning. Considering how much time I spent wading up and down it's length, it seems rather an overreaction.

I'd always thought that my son would be able to enjoy the same fun that I did, but now I wonder whether I'll be looked upon as an irresponsible parent.
