MInd's Eye
I was up before dawn again today. This tends to happen when you have a child still in school, or another restless night.
My daughter decided to drive today, but the smell of fresh-brewed coffee enticed me to grab my computer and my iPhone, and stumble downstairs in search of caffeine.
I have had two restless nights in a row. My brother is in the hospital after a "Jesus Moment," as my nephew now refers to his father's heart stopping moment on Tuesday morning. Not ready to lose a second sibling to heart failure, I can't help but be a bit uneasy. Sure, I get exercise and watch what I eat, but the part about limiting stress is what gets me every time.
I have learned to enjoy every sunrise, and often photograph the ones that "speak" to me. Today, the sun was barely peeking over the horizon as I snapped this photo. After downloading it, I realized that the sun was staring back at me.
Another message sent from beyond. "I'm watching over you too, my lovechild."
All I could do was smile.
