Home to 'Auld clothes 'n' purridge!'

Early in the morning, we sailed into Nola and had to say our final goodbyes to Leo and Scott.I found it hard to fight back the tears, knowing that she won't be home until Feb. 2013.They had done us proud at every level- the way they conducted themselves on board, their courtesy to the passengers, their helpfulness on the tours which really were not their responsibility, the expertise they demonstrated in dance classes and their professionalism on stage.Proud to be associated with two such wonderful young people.
A taxi delivered us safely back to the airport, where this pic was taken.Sad to say, we were leaving on the day Mardi Gras parades began! The airport was duly decorated awaiting many more people arriving to participate in the festivities.I didn't want to leave this amazing city but my head was buzzing with all the things we had done and I had all my treasured memories recorded in photographs.I added some 1400 pics on Facebook as a record of our trip.
A change over in Philadelphia, then onward to Manchester airport. We watched the sun rise from the plane window before making our descent through pink tinged, fluffy clouds, to view our green and pleasant land covered in a blanket of snow. What a stark contrast.
After a three hour drive home ,we witnessed our daughter Lisey out in her Winter woollies,(on top of her pyjamas) clearing the snow off the drive ready for our arrival.God bless you Lisey. You are an angel in disguise.Without your help, there would have been no adventure, no reunion, no lasting memories!
