TED for MAYOR!

The light is so poor outside today and it's cold.

Thought I would take a blip of a photo of the Nelson Mayoral Chain of Office.
It was made in 1890 when Nelson was given borough status.

It is made from 18ct gold and weighs 38 ounces.The interesting part about the chain is that it has four glass pictures on it. One of the Town Hall, the Market Hall, the Technical School and the Sewerage Works.
Nelson was the first place in the country to have a proper sewerage works because Nelson was growing so fast because of the cotton industry they thought it was going to be a city.
