Te Ngaere Bay

The forecast last night was a High sitting right over Northland so we decided to head up the coast and explore some of the bays we have never visited. The forecast was spot on and the morning was beautiful, clear blue skies and sunny.
This bay is just north of Matauri Bay and is right by the road. We had the beach to ourselves and after a picnic lunch walked the length and back. We also visited a couple of other bays along this stretch of coast and finished with a coffee in Mangonui.
Nice day out in midwinter !
