Intelligent yogurt

A quote from Ian Pearson, a futurologist, which appeared in 'The Observer':

"By 2025, it will be possible to modify the genome of bacteria so that they can assemble circuits in their own cells. A pot of yogurt contains countless millions of bacteria, so you could create millions of synthetic neurons and thus produce a yogurt with an IQ equal to that of Europe."
