Approach to Langkawi

A poor shot as we were herded below decks as the Island capital came in to view. Anyway, a safe transfer from Penang to Langkawi. Much more as I had imagined Penang would be. No high-rise buildings, yet. Further north / remote we go in Malaysia, the more pleasant the locals are. Fewer ladies in black bags, so less Islamic influence it would appear. 05:30 hrs tomorrow will tell if The Gravely Voice One meets the dawn as he has all the way from KL.
Hotel we managed to get is brand new, very modern and minimalist, but very friendly staff.
Langkawi is tax free so beer is back down to a reasonable price 8 Ringitts for 0.33 ltr. (£1.60)
