Window View

The back of this church, whose bell tower is pictured above, faces the back of one of the buildings where I work. Perhaps it was not intentional but none of the vertical planes created for this ediface are in line with another (except for the outside edges). I've got to think that the designers and builders knew of this disproportionate look and decided to keep it anyway; and I can't help but wonder why. Any suggestions?
