Amsterdam Houses

Another interesting fact about Amsterdam I've learnt:

Houses in Amsterdam have such narrow stairs that people moving in/out have to move their bulky items via their windows. The sticky out things on these buildings are part of the pully system.

I don't fancy that much. Removal men must have a very stressful job!
