Scanning

it was -11 when we set out to ultrasound scan the sheep on the fen this morning. We scan them so we can split the ewes into 'single lambs' 'twins' and 'triplets'. That way we can feed them the appropriate amount and we know what we're dealing with come lambing time. It always ends up being very cold when we scan, I go along to help move the sheep and to bring coffee to warm the cockles.
I had wanted to blip the scanner man in the process of scanning but as he hides away in a crate lying on the ground under a tarpaulin it wasn't that effective. But this shot is The Farmer calling his girls in through the freezing fog.
