A doing day

Today was the day we started to prepare the kitchen for a new coat of paint. So I donned thick water proof gloves, de-greased and washed the walls and ceiling with copious amounts of boiling water and sugar soap. As you can see the shelves had to be cleared off and stored on the dining room table. Later this evening we are going to perform a cull of the cookery books. I am doing my best to overcome my bibliomania and panic at the thought of that.
